We had our first speechs today. I don't want to sound too cocky but I defiantly had the second best speech.
However, Pat gave new light onto the girl I put as best. She had a box with momentous in it. I told Pat and he said "So she did a show and tell". So...we'll just eliminate her.
Besides the fact that 1/2 the class has English as a second language, and the few that spoke English were either very creepy (a very recent ex-con), was a teenage mother, or just not very confident with their speech. I felt very out of place.
I think it went very good. We'll find out next week.
